Our Shared Values at Sohail Counseling & Care

At Sohail Counseling & Care, these values guide every conversation, every session, and every choice we make as a team. They’re our quiet compass, helping us offer care that’s warm, inclusive, and deeply human.

These values shape how we care for our clients, our team, and the communities we serve.

  • Therapy should feel like real conversation, not performance. We show up as people first; curious, compassionate, and human. You’ll never be met with silence that feels distant or disconnected.

  • Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. We recognize how culture, systems, and identity shape mental health- and we hold space for those realities with respect and humility.

  • We believe care is political; because safety, dignity, and belonging are human rights. You’ll always find a space here that values equity and inclusion, without needing to name it aloud.

  • There’s no single way to heal. Together, we’ll create a rhythm and process that align with your values and your life, so therapy feels natural and sustainable for you.

Wareesha Sohail, LCSW (she/her)

Founder & Clinical Director

I started Sohail Counseling & Care because I wanted therapy to feel more like a real conversation and less like something you have to brace yourself for. A space that’s warm, culturally responsive, and grounded in being human together; not perfect, polished, or performative.

I take a very limited number of clients and am not accepting new therapy clients at this time. These days, my role is mostly about supporting our therapists and tending to the care that happens behind the scenes. I really believe that when therapists are supported and treated like whole people, they’re able to show up more fully for the people they work with.

Every therapist on our team is someone I trust deeply- not just for their training, but for the way they listen, slow things down, and show up with care and respect for your story. Even if I’m not your therapist, my values and heart are woven into the work that happens here.
