Approach

Acknowledging you want to make a change in your life by telling someone your story is a brave decision. Together, we will build a relationship where you feel honored, profoundly understood, and empowered by the work we do together.

My style is warm, inquisitive, and collaborative. As we explore your story, you and I will put together to map a path towards a future that feels fulfilling and aligned with your values. Recognizing you as the expert of your own experiences, I will accompany you wherever your journey takes you, fostering your growth and self-insight along the way.

Maybe you’ve been wanting to explore therapy for years, but you have no idea where to start. Or you might be someone who’s had lots of experience with therapy, but you still find yourself feeling stuck. Wherever you fall on this spectrum, my practice is for you. I work with folks from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages, drawing on psychodynamic theory to help guide you into your subconscious. Our work will help you identify thought processes and feelings that guide behavior without us even being aware of them. As we pull at the roots of old patterns and make room for new growth, I also incorporate mindfulness, DBT-informed techniques, and a blend of modern and ancestral ways of healing as we walk the path to change that resonates the most with you.

Above all, my approach to therapy is deeply human. I hope to create a relationship with you where you feel safe to say the things that feel hard to speak aloud, and know that whatever comes up for you, you never have to face it alone. I look forward to meeting you and growing together!

Culturally Grounded Care

As a second-generation Indian American and the eldest daughter of immigrants, I know what it’s like to want to share your story, but to carry the fear that the person you are sharing it with won’t understand it. As a therapist of color- I want you to know that it is possible to be fully seen and heard by your provider. I am a firm believer that you do not have to forget where you come from on the path to becoming the person you wish to be. While part of my job as a therapist is to offer new perspectives, I do so in a way that is grounded in respect, reverence, and curiosity. I invite every part of you into this space.

I strive to get to know all my clients for who they are- including identities and lived experiences. I serve individual adults, couples, and youth. I am especially interested in working with women, children of immigrants, and clients who are wanting to explore their spiritual beliefs. I also have a passion for working with children and adolescents, and have several years of experience working with students from marginalized communities. Working in collaboration with parents, families, and the school system has been a key facet of my experience.
