Approach
I believe everyone deserves- and has the capacity- to heal.
Therapy should feel real, human, and approachable
Healing happens through connection, trust, and safety
You deserve a space that is supportive, validating, and free of judgment
Humor and authenticity can be powerful parts of the healing process
My style is warm yet direct, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental, with a little humor sprinkled in when it feels helpful.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of counseling, and I strive to create a connection that feels safe, genuine, and tailored to your needs.
I consider myself an eclectic therapist and draw from multiple modalities depending on what works best for each individual. Coming from an attachment-based and person-centered perspective, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and parts work into sessions.
You Don't Have To Carry It Alone
Life can sometimes feel lonely and overwhelming, especially when navigating grief and loss, the stress of caregiving, or simply trying to survive while the world feels chaotic around you.
Therapy is a space where you don't have to carry those things alone.
My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you during life's most difficult journeys while celebrating the joyful moments with you along the way.
In one way or another, we all experience events that challenge us and change how we see the world. Yet somehow, we survive.
I recognize the importance of the coping strategies that helped you make it through your hardest moments, and I'm here to witness and hold space for every version of you that has gotten you to where you are today.
Together, we'll explore what has served you, what no longer feels aligned, and what you'd like to carry forward as you create a life that feels meaningful and worth living.
Culturally Grounded Care
I recognize the importance of cultural humility in all areas of life, but especially within the therapeutic relationship.
Because of the power dynamics that exist in therapy, I am committed to acknowledging how culture, identity, family systems, and systemic factors shape the life experiences of each of my clients.
I also recognize that my understanding of the world is limited. In order to create a safe, validating, and equitable space, I take the stance of a lifelong learner and view clients as the experts in their own lives.
My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where all parts of your experience are welcomed, respected, and understood.
