Meet Wareesha Sohail, LCSW
Illinois & Michigan
Online Therapy
I founded Sohail Counseling & Care with the hope of creating a therapy practice that feels warm, culturally aware, and grounded in real connection. My vision was to build a space where clients feel truly seen and supported, and therapists feel valued as humans too.
As a South Asian therapist, I bring both professional training and lived experience of navigating identity, belonging, and the “in-between spaces.” That perspective shapes my approach: honoring all the layers of who you are while supporting growth that feels authentic to your values.
My style blends narrative therapy, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness. Some sessions focus on reflection, while others lean into real-life skills you can carry into your day; but always in a way that’s collaborative and tailored to what feels most supportive for you.
I especially love working with emerging and modern adults, as well as couples navigating identity, love, and cultural dynamics. Many of my clients come to therapy while moving through anxiety, depression, cultural or family stressors, and major life transitions.
I know what it’s like to balance expectations while creating a life that truly fits you. My role as a therapist is to walk with you through the messy, hopeful, and deeply human parts of growth and healing; at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
