Feeling confident in your authentic self can be a difficult journey, yet so important for every individual. I strive to offer a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, and fulfilling during this exploration of self and all the things that may entail. I want the clients I work with to not only be seen but feel empowered to show up for themselves in all parts of their lives. It is my hope to be a support that holds genuine space for people while also recognizing the importance of accountability to facilitate true change. I want my clients to always feel safe when engaging in sessions and feel they can be their authentic selves.
I want my clients to feel fully supported while also gaining confidence in their own strengths. I believe that support systems are one of the greatest assets and hope to be a point of connection and reflection for all the clients I serve.
Approach
It is my belief that therapy is truly collaborative and requires a deeper reflection of yourself and your experiences.
I recognize that no two journeys look or feel the same and as a therapist my mission is to meet each client where they are at, while actively working to move them to where they want to be.
I practice a nonjudgemental approach that encourages the client to gain self awareness and insight.
I work to provide perspective while respecting that each client is an expert in their own experience.
I remain sensitive to the fact that therapy is not always easy but giving yourself a chance to grow is always worth it.
Culturally Grounded Care
I recognize that therapy is a vulnerable experience and value every client's perspectives. While I strive to be a support to all, I am constantly challenging myself to have humility and see the work I do as an opportunity to better understand the world around me. Having competency in the varying degrees of what support may look like to an individual is a process. I am always hoping to understand better through personal and professional work.
